Hi, my name is Nathan Diesel and I’ll be your guide. I hold a degree in Wildlife Conservation & Management from Missouri State University and have over 10 years of fly fishing experience. I have been a guide on Lake Taneycomo since 2001 and am extremely familiar with the tailwaters. I also have spent a great deal of time learning how fish react to different weather patterns and water flow fluctuations.
In the fall, as the Brown Trout move to the upper lake to spawn, I love to focus on sight fishing. During this time my primary target is large Brown Trout ranging from 6 to 20 pounds or more. The remainder of the year is typically spent pursuing Rainbow Trout which are in plentiful supply.
One of the greatest pleasures I receive is teaching children the joys of fly fishing. The excitement they bring to the trip is truly priceless.
